THANKSGIVING FOR RHONDA
This is Rhonda and one of her six grandchildren that she cares for. This family has been through a lot, and have struggled day in and day out. Through the struggle they have kept faith and been optimistic. Rhonda did not know what her family was going to do for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Her prayers were answered when Dreamsetters United showed up at here doorstep with an entire meal for her family. This was one of the families sponsored for DSU Thanksgiving Dream 2016. The family received a turkey and side food items they requested. Our goal was to make families Thanksgiving dreams come true and bring happiness to their homes.
Trey has faced many trials and tribulations throughout his young life. As a child growing up he was around constant chaos and experienced a lot growing up. His parents both battled drug addictions, causing him to raise himself. As times seemed to get harder, Dreamsetters United came into his life to help lift him on his feet. Through mentorship, we have helped guide him down the right path with support, adoration, teaching life skills, and goal setting. Trey is now working toward his dreams of owning his own lawn care company and giving back to the community. Trey is one of the many people out here who are faced with many obstacles on their own. Dreamsetters United is here for people who feel alone and need extra guidance toward the right path. Our youth are full of dreams and we are here to lead them to those dreams.

THANKSGIVING FOR ANITA
This is Anita who is a grandmother of two children and the care taker of her disabled sister. Anita has experienced difficulty over the past year and struggles to make it day by day. This year she was afraid that they would not have a meal for Thanksgiving. Anita’s grandson told her for her birthday, he would get her a turkey, and with the help of Dreamsetters United, he made it happen. On her birthday, we showed up and delivered her turkey and side dishes to enjoy with it. This was one of the families sponsored for DSU Thanksgiving Dream 2016. The family received a turkey and side food items they requested. Our goal was to make families thanksgiving dreams come true and bring happiness to their homes.
Dreamsetters United held a Feeding Frenzy at Wayside Christian Mission. This was an amazing event where DSU was able to feed over 300 people. The event was very successful, thanks to all the people who donated money, ingredients, and their time. Events like this are not possible without the help and support of DSU volunteers. This event turned out so well that Wayside Christian Mission wants to partner with Dreamsetters United to make the Feeding Frenzy happen four times a year. For those who do not know, Wayside helps shelter and feed the homeless in Louisville. This is a great partnership and opportunity for Dreamsetters United to make a difference in our community and help those in need.
